Yearwood Surfboards are shaped by Surfer/Shaper Dave Yearwood. Yearwood began shaping soon after he was side lined by an ACL injury that would not allow him to surf for 6 months. Shortly after the injury happened Yearwood called his friend Skip to thank him for the new board that he had shaped for him and to tell him how bummed he was that he would not be able to ride it for 6 months. He told Yearwood that God allows everything to happen for a reason and that he had a simple solution to that problem. He told Yearwood to shape a board. Skip gave Yearwood a few tips and Yearwood was off.
